eLBX Online Day 17 – Mobile Development in Storyline
Storyline 3 makes it easy to create training for learners using tablets and smartphones. In this webinar, Andrew Vass covered best practices for developing and publishing mobile-friendly training in Articulate Storyline 3 using the all-new responsive player.
Andrew talked about:
- How Storyline 3 handles responsive development
- Publishing and deploying mobile-ready courses
- Best practices for mobile development
It’s important to keep in mind that these features apply to Storyline 3 and Storyline 360 only. Storyline Rise limits developers to a set of pre-designed responsive templates and Storyline 2 simply scales content to fit the screen, but isn’t truly responsive. Storyline 3/360 provide scalable & responsive player options.
Another great feature included in Storyline 3 is gesture support. Turning on this feature allows your learner to swipe through your course, instead of using the next or back buttons. You can also lock a course to only play in landscape mode, for a better viewing experience.
Some of the best practices that Andrew talked about include:
- Font size
- Button size
- Image and video size
- Zoom regions
- Unsupported animations and transitions
- and more!
Andrew shared lots of other great tips. Stay tuned for the recording, which will be available by the end of the week.
